Summary Man with My Face
With Ortega's fate hanging in the balance, Kovacs drops a bombshell on the Bancrofts. Later, he comes face to face with an unsettling opponent.
Kovacs takes Ortega to a hospital and uses Bancroft's credit to save and implant a new arm in Ortega. During her recovery, she learns the fate of her friend and partner Abboud and the unethical behavior of Captain Tanaka. Meanwhile Kovacs and Elliot head to Isaac's room and then they go to Bancrofts house where Kovacs discloses what his son did to him. When Kovacs and Ortega leaves the hospital, they are captured and sent to a cage, where they need to fight to save their lives.
Synopsis Man with My Face
S1 E6Kovacs flies a car with Ortega bleeding badly, trying to apply pressure and keep her awake. He lands at a hospital. He needs to pay with DNA first before they will look at her. Kovacs needs to buy her a cyborg arm.
Poe treats Lizzie, he offers to let her hit him. She punches him in the gut, Elliott comes in and doesn't understand the treatment. Poe then tells him to go to the hospital.
Kovacs imagines a conversation with Falconer about love.
Elliott arrives. Poe calls to say Isaac Bancroft bought the paintings from a Russian Meth named Sergei Brevlov.
The police Capt Tanaka is met by Ms Prescott, she demands to take the Bancroft clone they are holding. Mickey explains to the Captain about the Ghostwalker and how he can disappear from video.
Dimi2 meets a man Hemingway, who tells him to leave Kovacs alone. Dimi2 pounds his fist, he wants revenge for Dimi1. Hemingway needs Kovacs alive.
Kovacs and Elliott break onto Brevlov's house and take him at gunpoint. Young Isaac Bancroft is there also. They take the two to Miriam and Laurens. Kovacs outlines his theory, Prescott brings the clone to the room. Elliott excuses himself. Isaac professes his innocence, Brevlov gives him an alibi. Kovacs realizes gay Isaac is not tough enough to kill. Bancroft expresses some disappointment then grabs a fireplace poker and hammers his clone to bloody shreds.
In the elevator Kovacs shows Prescott the Ghostwalker render, she hasn't seen him.
Ghostwalker Leung and Dimi2 chat about their roles. Dimi2 makes a break and runs away, the Russian gets to a barbershop and needlecasts his stack into Kovacs' previous sleeve before Leung catches up.
Ortega's mother is at her hospital room. She slaps Kovacs when he arrives. Kristen wakes to look at Kovacs. Elliott tells him to stay with her awhile. In the morning she wakes groggily. Kovacs tells her Abboud is dead. She is stunned about her new arm. Captain Tanaka arrives with flowers. Abboud will get a hero's award. Kovacs accuses the cop of being corrupt, he nods sadly. Ortega beats the Capt for information on his contact.
They go to a bar, a VR Cafe. Kovacs puts on a headset. In VR he sees Hemingway, Ortega disconnects him suddenly. They go back up to the bar and notice other patrons have been decapitated and their heads placed loosely on top of their necks. An Asian man throws a bomb, the explosion sends Ortega and Kovacs through the windows.
They are prisoners. The Asian man is the old Takeshi Kovacs sleeve clone. They are at the FightDrome and taken into the ring, Kovacs is introduced as Elias Ryker to a jeering crowd. Two monsters attack them. Teaming up they kill the mutants, but then the Asian clone enters with knives. The knives are laced with a drug, soon both are crawling in the sand. Ortega buys some time with her robo-arm, Kovacs turns the tables, they cut out and destroy the man's stack. A Ninja appears and saves them. It's Kovacs' younger sister.
